Celebrate your Pride with these adorable Amigurumi Pride Flag Hearts! As a queer person myself, I wanted to design something Pride-related that was cute, fun, and plush (three of my favourite things). These crochet hearts fit the bill, and are also quick & easy to make so they are perfect for giving as gifts or selling at a local craft fair. I actually designed them for a craft fair initially, but due to Covid it didn’t end up happening. Oh well!
I’ve designed eight flag hearts so far, as seen below. From top left to bottom right: Rainbow, Inclusive Rainbow (aka the Philadelphia Pride Flag), Trans, Bisexual, Lesbian, Pansexual, Non-Binary, Asexual.
Looking for a different flag? Let me know and I’ll add it! Some flags are as simple as changing the colours used (for example. non-binary and asexual have the same number of colours in the same proportions), but others involve more math to work out. If you’re looking for a different flag and the number of stripes doesn’t match any of these, let me know and I can work out the math for you and make a sample. 🙂
My Pride Flag Hearts Amigurumi Pattern is available for free in this post, or you can purchase an ad-free PDF copy for a few dollars in my shop, on Etsy, or on Ravelry.
These Pride hearts make great gifts and will brighten up any room. Give one to your significant other on Valentine’s Day, or put them in your window during Pride Month! Last summer for Pride Month I arranged the whole set of them in my window facing the street, and I grew so attached to them that I left them up until I moved out in January. Now they are hanging from the bottom of my Yarn & Craft Supplies Pegboard (check out my tutorial here to make your own!), and they always make me smile.
And finally, I’ve created a bundle including both the Pride Flag Hearts pattern AND the Pride Heart Keychains pattern – grab your copy here and save 25%!

When reading the pattern, (_,_)*x means that you repeat the instructions in the bracket “x” number of times. For example, (Sc 1, Inc)*6 means to repeat (Sc 1, Inc) 6 times. The number in brackets at the end of each row is the total number of stitches you will have when you finish that row.
Click here or scroll down for information on where to change colours for each flag.
Round 1: Sc 6 in a Magic Circle (6)
Round 2: Sc around (6)
Round 3: Inc*6 (12)
Round 4: Sc around (12)
Round 5: (Sc 1, Inc)*6 (18)
Round 6: Sc around (18)
Round 7: (Sc 2, Inc)*6 (24)
Round 8: Sc around (24)
Round 9: (Sc 3, Inc)*6 (30)

Round 12: Sc around (36)
Round 13: (Sc 5, Inc)*6 (42)
Round 14: Sc around (42)
From here, you will continue in a spiral to make the first hump.
Round 1: Sc 21 (21)
Round 2: Sc into the first stitch of Round 1. Sc 20 more stitches around the hump. (21)
If you are changing colours for Round 2, I recommend doing the first stitch in the previous row’s colour. It will be easier to change colours in the second stitch of the row.
Round 3: Sc around (21)
Round 4: (Sc 1, Dec)*7 (14)
Round 5: Sc around (14)
Round 6: Dec*7 (7)
Finish off, leaving a long end.
Round 2: Sc into the first stitch of Round 1 (this will create a hole between the humps, but don’t worry!). Sc 20 more stitches around the hump. (21)
You will sew up the hole between the humps later, using the long end from Round 1. Also, if you are changing colours for Round 2, please see my advice from the first hump.
Round 3: Sc around (21)
Round 4: (Sc 1, Dec)*7 (14)
Round 5: Sc around (14)
Stuff the heart.
Round 6: Dec*7 (7)
Finish off, leaving a long end, close up the holes, and weave in all ends.
